Free Range Chickens & Colourful Eggs

Why Chickens?

Farm-Fresh, Colourful & Full of Character

Our chickens are more than just egg layers – they’re characters in our everyday life. From the soft clucking around the veggie gardens to the colourful treasures they leave in their nests, they bring joy, sustainability, and delicious nourishment to our farm.

What started as a small flock has grown into a rainbow egg adventure – and we love sharing it with others who care about where their food comes from.

What makes our chickens Unique?

We raise Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers—chickens known for laying beautiful eggs in shades of blue, grey, spearmint, olive, and sage green. These crossbreeds aren’t official breeds, but they’re loved for their unique eggs and gentle personalities.

We also keep White Leghorns, Boschvelders, and Venda chickens—hardy heritage breeds that add variety to our flock and diversity to our egg baskets. Each collection is full of natural, earthy tones—no dyes, just the magic of nature.

We believe that the secret to nutrient-rich, flavourful eggs lies in how the hens are raised. That’s why our chickens enjoy a free-range lifestyle, spending their afternoons foraging naturally across open spaces. In the evenings, they roost safely in clean, spacious pens, designed for comfort, cleanliness, and well-being.

Our flock is nourished with a balanced diet of layer feed, mixed grains, and fresh vegetables grown right here on the farm. We never use hormones, antibiotics, or chemical enhancers—just real food, sunshine, and fresh air. This ethical, hands-on approach ensures not only healthier, happier hens, but also more nutritious and flavourful eggs for your table.

Free-range eggs often have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and antioxidants compared to commercially farmed eggs. The varied, natural diet of roaming hens leads to richer yolks and more nutrient-dense eggs.

Coloured Eggs

When hens are fed farm-grown grains, vegetables, and kitchen scraps, their eggs are free from synthetic hormones, antibiotics, and chemical enhancers. Just pure, real food—straight from the garden to the coop.

Chickens that roam freely enjoy natural sunlight, fresh air, and the ability to scratch, forage, and dust bathe. This reduces stress and disease, resulting in stronger hens and better egg quality.

Raising your own hens or buying from small farms supports low-impact, environmentally conscious agriculture. No factory farming, no crowded cages—just ethical, regenerative farming practices.
